Yup, it’s gonna be loonngggg! XD too bad anyways, just scroll down if you don’t want to read it, and if you want to, thanks. Hover over the images for the caption. So about the trip to Indonesia, we had to get to the airport by 7:00! My friend’s mom was so kind to carpool me I took quite some many random pictures along the way, I’ll show 2 only.

 

At the airport we had to wait for an hour and more what was the “get to the airport by 7″ for then?? We board at 8:45! Still, we fooled around [ like here ] and annoyed so many people around us. I had an ok time on the plane, not the best service or people around me. But who cares, I got preoccupied by The Dark Knight! it took the whole 4 hour flight to finish… =.=” It didn’t seem THAT long.

   

After we get off at the Singapore airport, we have to transfer to this speedboat to an island, where again we will take another boat to the final destination. It takes a whole day to travel! I got bored so badly on the second boat ride (they were playing mute 102 Dalmatians on the first ride, my friend and I added our own words rofl ) I had to look at my other friend blow bubblegum =.=

   

When we got there we had dinner blah blah. The next day we went to a school in a nearby village [well not that nearby, it was 40 minutes boat ride away]. We helped the school renovate their volleyball court with concrete and then bonded with the kids. They’re so cute! [ kids ]
But the older high school/middle school teens were my nightmares. They ask for a picture with you and I agree since it won’t do any harm and they do these really close “hugging” poses and they were guys, so I didn’t know to feel flattered or just plain INSECURE! ahem… yeah, it was really bad. The teens wrap their arms around you like a really close friend. Now I’m feeling bad for the celebrities for the millions of people that have done that. The second school we went to was a lot better because they were mostly elementary kids (elementary = cute ) We gave them gift bags with stationery and they were just overjoyed, I’ve never felt so happy to help someone before and they were just smiling like the biggest in their life.

The resort we stayed in was just off the hook. Totally awesome. I’ll let the images tell the story. Everything was just so comfortable, except for the minor problem about cold water only showers :bleh: but who cares?

Yup, I’m back from Indo! Sorry, I should’ve blogged on Friday, but I was busy working on a new layout ;) I’ll finish coding it (it’s the only layout that has taken me this long to code) soon and put it up, so keep your eyes out!

I’ll keep it short because I want to type my Indonesia blog, but it’ll take a long time, and I don’t want you guys being bored. Another thing wanted to add: I made 2 new wallpapers just now, it’s so awesome You’ll love it. Indo will come in an edit.

Another thing I wanted to ask: How much do you visit my site a week? Because when I checked my stats today, the whole week was around 70-80. I used to get over a 100… :crying: Is it because of my busy-ness with school that people aren’t coming anymore? I’m really sad I don’t want to lose my visitors…. and now I’m reading less comments, just so you know, I really love reading them. Please please please don’t abandon meee…. I’m really sorry about my lack of time but I’m really trying to find time to blog and update…

*sniff* Anyways, about the 50 icons, I added them to the icons page and I made the sections collapsible so you won’t have to scroll so much =] They’re all in the Models section… I have no idea why I love using model images more than celebrities, maybe because they take better pictures?

When I walked from the tennis court back to the train station, I bumped into my Bible and Algebra teacher, Mr. Franke (said like frankie). He’s so cool and we started talking about random stuff. As we were talking about our upcoming Indonesia trip, we jumped to the topic of this guy in my class. Mr. Franke [a teacher] said he’s really dirty and devious and he started talking about what he did in lunch. The guy cut a slice of the lunch dessert and jiggled it “down there” in front of girls…. he slapped his face at that moment. LOL he’s like one of the most outspoken teachers ever… I mean the other teachers wouldn’t just tell a student that her class is perverted, I mean yeah, that’s why everyone loves him. He understands unlike the old teachers we get [and hate].

Why are guys so perverted and interested in body parts anyways? It’s just so gross… that’s just sick. I wish they’d grow up, but sadly, to tell you girls who are asking the same question: Most of them DON’T! The guy I mentioned above is also really sensitive to the word balls. When Mr Franke what is considered non-Christian music, he just blurted out really loud BALLS. Even if it’s funny, he loves it too much…

ANYWHO, I just wanted to ask what content you’d like me to update or add a new section, because I have to think of something while I’m gone next week on my school trip! I chose to go to Indonesia I’ll put up the most interesting blog after I get back Sorry for being off topic, but yeah, just drop off some ideas so I can get thinking about them while I’m gone.

Well anyways, on to the title topic I don’t know what else to call it, today at church the teens classes had a teen sermon time (because it’s the first week of the month) and the youth leader showed us 2 videos of Nick Vujicic. What he said in the short videos really touched me. He’s an Australian who was born with no limbs except for a really small leg (his site) and he travels around the world sharing his story.
He said something that meant a lot to me:

Don’t can’t and we should not compare our sufferings

and I’m like, “How many people in this world can list less criticism than compliments about themselves? Why does everyone have to compare what we don’t have and keep whining and complaining at God for it? Don’t they see all the things they have? I mean, do people really need to go to villages where people live in poverty to really experience and be thankful for what they have?

And he said how scary it was to know how many girls have eating disorders in this world. Just those few minutes have completely changed how I’m seeing life. Girls are wasting the short time they have here to “be skinny” or to “buy this season’s must-haves” and why are you even bothering to possess things that won’t even last when you can dedicate your lives to help others believe in God and have eternal life? If you think about it, everything we have on earth is going to be POOF! by the time we’re going to die and we’re wasting precious time doing those things. If you’re not a Christian then I’m really glad you’ve took the time to read on til here, anyways, this man, he has no arms or legs and yet he’s completely happy with who he is, he’s not complaining to God why he can’t have a miracle and have limbs, but he’s saying he is standing there before the people AS a miracle. Don’t you think that’s really powerful?

I really hope that if you’re one of those girls like me who always think “If I can as skinny as her…” that you’ll be touched by what I’ve written here. Don’t think you’re ugly because you’ve been made for a special reason and God doesn’t make mistakes, he knows how you’ll be used to carry out his plans! Don’t worry!

I know a lot people don’t like reading long blogs, so you can just skip here I’ve updated a lot here! I added 2 Photoshop actions, finished the fonts sections, and I’ve changed the layout of the review site. Please give me some feedback on the updates, I want to know what you guys think of the layout and the new content.

About the buses thing, my brother and I were riding the bus downtown to grab something to eat with my mom and we had these two obnoxious loud men behind us shouting in some weird dialect. Ugh, the whole bus was so annoyed and the two men didn’t even seem to notice. How considerate. Even the driver got really mad, the automatic door (he pulls it with a lever) was slamming at every stop.

Anyways, that was just some random talking from me I wasn’t slacking off at all this week, I did make some updates. I made 2 blends and I’m hoping to finish the fonts section and update the owner section as well. If I’m lucky I might as well finish off some reviews.

Ugh, I hate not updating or blogging! School’s been keeping me so busy! Gah, I know that’s the most horrible excuse but I really couldn’t find time for any entertainment anymore. I just realized today at homeroom while we were playing games how long I haven’t even played a computer game.

Yesterday was like my relaxing day, I watched Forrest Gump with my dad. I didn’t remember it because it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but it’s like one of THE BEST movies ever made. I love it so much! You should really watch it.

I’m also thinking of doing a competition because I think you’re all bored because of my online hibernation. Hmm, oh yeah, I’m going to be making a Mad Lib (soon) and if you’re in for free advertising for 3 months or a custom graphic (no tags) then I’ll give you a list of nouns, adjectives, blah blah for you to fill out and the person who turns out with the funniest will win! Pretty easy, but I love Mad Libs so much! I’ll put it up soon as an edit!

Yes! I finally got my LJ set up! It took me 2 days to finish the coding and a lot of procrastination. VISIT JOCUNDE @ LJ! I’m going to be working on the Christian LJ community and graphics community soon, but anyways, I’m just thinking of making my LJ exclusive. When I say exclusive I mean only friends can see the resources I put up there that can’t be found anywhere else I think that’s pretty cool, but please, add me only if you’re going to comment and actually read what I write, don’t just rip me off.

And just to notify my affies and visitors, next week and probably this week is going to be really busy for me because I’ve got projects and the volleyball finals coming up! Ugh.. it’s going to be hectic for the next 10 days, so please be patient with me while I’m trying to balance everything.

On updates, I’m working on reviews and the layout tutorial, but as said above, I’m going berserk! =/ Gah… I wish teachers are more understanding.

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments on my layout! They were amazing. And I’m really sorry about my slow rate in updates, I am making them but they just take too much time to put up! I have like so much homework! Today, my brother needed to go to his teacher’s house for a party, and my mom made me go along. I just woke up!! It was 11 AM me and my sleepiness. When my dad, mom and I were going back on a mini highway in the mountains, my mom told me we were in monkey territory I love that word then I kept my eyes peeled for monkeys. And did I see monkeys. They were like dominating the whole outdoor parking area! Some A whole lot of them sat on cars grooming and playing and they practically roamed the whole parking area. I took a few pictures of the monkeys near our car:

     

And the other day, I was talking with my friend, David, and we started talking about comedians. Oh it was so funny, we were watching them on Youtube and we’d start cracking up, feel free to watch them below!

Oh! I forgot to mention I’ve been thinking of opening a community in Livejournal for Christians (or people who want to talk about it) because I really think it’d be cool to do that and one for site related topics like post photoshoots that would go great for layouts etc. I really need your say in this, so please comment even though if you’re gonna say “THAT’S THE STUPIDEST IDEA I’VE EVER HEARD!”

And yesterday, I had 2 volleyball games. Ugh. We lost so badly. I thought that we’d play better since our coach promised us Ben and Jerry’s if we won I even skinned my knee to save the ball, but it fell on our side anyways. What was the point of skinning my knee if it was going to give the other team a point?!

Another random thing, just now, I came back from making my dad’s birthday present . I was attempting at making a cup for him but I think the ear isn’t holding on well. I think he won’t mind XP I’ll put up a picture soon.

Yes, we have another typhoon at Hong Kong. And then we’ll lose a few hours tomorrow because of the dumb winds. Ugh I hate it! Now we have to finish our homework and bring our normal school stuff PLUS to bring our camp stuff. Don’t the teachers know it’s hard to do that? I’ll have to bring my backpack, a 4 lb textbook, my PE bag, AND my big duffle bag full of clothes! GRRR…

So enough with my ranting, anyone like the new layout? I wanted to slice my image, but then it turned out wrong because there were gaps in between the slices. :sad: But on the bright side, this was the first layout that didn’t need too many coding touch ups after I put it up. I think this is my favorite layout so far. But I just realized I didn’t update the Current and Past Layouts =/ And I realized how little I have on the owner section.

Questions:
1. Would you mind if there is 1 layout missing in the Past Layouts section?
2. What would you like to see in the “Owner” section? Weird facts? Favorites?
3. Do you like the new footer on normal pages (not blog page)?

1. If I was a first time visitor, not really.
2. The section’s about me, so I have no idea what people want to know.
3. Oh yeah. It looks so much more professional.

So, to keep you guys updated on my volleyball stuff, we went to a game yesterday. The school was miles away from our school (it’s like on the other end of Hong Kong and my school’s on the northern end). We got lost there because the driver doesn’t know how to get there. I’m like WHAT THE! Aren’t bus drivers supposed to be familiar with the roads? And Hong Kong isn’t big at all! My friend had to call her dad (CY if you read this, you’re dad totally saved us!) because he was a police sergeant [I think] =/ and we had to get instructions from him to get there. When we got there we were like 15 minutes late and we’d forfeit :shocked: if they stuck to the rules. The team we were playing against were late 40 minutes and more last time and we didn’t blame them, this time, we were just 15 minutes late. I’m like soo pissed! We went through all the trouble to go there and them ditch us. GRRRR…

Oh and I promise that before Camp, I’ll put up the new layout

So, anyways, today is the Mid Autumn Festival for me! A lot of people are going to celebrate but all I’m going to do is eat at my grandma’s because she takes these “make festival” [translated from Chinese] really seriously. The festival just means mooncakes and HOLIDAY to me And to celebrate with my wonderful visitors, I’ve been grueling the whole weekend making updates!

I tried my hand at pixels and it worked! I finished a smiley set! I’m so happy I hope you guys will like them. Another bunch of updates are 2 new wallpapers, 3 blends, and 1 new coded layout! My faves are the wallpapers, I was trying out new styles after browsing DeviantArt and it turned out soooo gorgeous!!! I still have other updates waiting in my FTP, but it’s already 10 PM for me! I’ll finish my homework tomorrow and hopefully my mom isn’t playing her games on the computer :shocked: I know, hard to believe, but my mom plays PC games.

PS: New layout and font section’s on the way!!! AND IT’S GUY’S B-DAY!!! SAY HAPPY B-DAY TO HIM!!

And if you remember Toffee, he’s the big messy pile of fur on the sidebar, he’s having pains in his leg as well. We went to the vet yesterday night for a checkup and the vet said his knee is having problems. The bone’s too shallow, so when he does abrupt turns, the tendon moves slightly to the left and right and it hurts him. He’s not allowed to walk for a week, and he might need to have surgery I was so scared when the vet told my mom that. I’d appreciate if you could pray for him [if you’re a Christian].

On updates, I’ve made a lot of image effect tutorials, color palettes, blends, and all the other stuff but I just never have enough time to put them up! ARGH. But, I have accomplished the task of putting up the new uncoded layouts. And also look out for a new layout! I almost lost all my inspiration if it wasn’t for my wonderful hostee

Another reason’s also that my dad’s friend recently lost his daughter because of “TIMBER!” [you know what I mean?] I’ve eaten dinner with her quite many times and she was the most amazing person. I’ve been so sad that she died at such a young age (19) and it just seems like a dream. I just couldn’t believe she just left like that *clicks finger*. I’ve never taken anyone’s death so seriously, not even my grand uncle. I accept that old people have to leave sometime, but not someone so young like her. So I was just like thinking it over and over how easy we can just leave in a matter of a few hours.

I’m so happy! The typhoon “Parrot” (they called it that for some weird reason ) landed really near Hong Kong today, right on today where my most disliked classes are gone! So yay! I don’t have to go to school I’m soooo happy! And to add more, I was really surprised to see 4 people online, because usually I just see 1 or 2, I love you guys so much =] I’m still working on some tutorials (meaning I’m just developing them, no typing)

Anyways, school’s been great because I don’t have so much homework! Yay for that! But the bad thing’s like during lunch, no one knows their place in the “social groups” thing and the 6^th graders are like hogging ALL the tables and the new people [who I have no idea who they are] and those annoying people I don’t want to sit with keep coming over to my friend’s table and I’m like, “What the heck is going on? Are we suddenly like glowing magnets that people want to come?! Do we have to yell, ‘We don’t like you, so sit somewhere else!’ to get you to go? Gosh, 6^th graders aren’t following anything, they just swarm around.” They seriously need some order, last year, everything was good besides the 6^th graders

Also, those advertising applications are coming to me so fast, I hardly have time to put them up. I’d really appreciate it if you’ll sign up for reviews instead of advertising, because I feel like I need to close advertising for a while. And sorry to those who’ve applied, I’ll try to put you up as soon as possible, but I’m quite busy with school and I don’t have hours of free time like I used to now. Really sorry.

The first three days of 8^th grade was really great! Besides the fact they gave big homework already The Bible and Algebra teacher is the coolest, he’s not like the Humanities (English and Social Studies) teacher who is like really mean and picky. He doesn’t care if your lines aren’t straight, I think some people jaw-dropped :shocked: . We got used to having to use a ruler and he just said, “Just draw a line, I don’t care, you can even draw a squiggly line”. It was hilarious :lol:

Also, I made some icons yesterday and today and I never realized how fun they were when you have like hundreds of textures Oh yeah, one tip to those who always ask about my graphics, brushes are near to useless when it comes to icons, you need textures. I suggest going to LJ and DeviantArt and looking at people’s credits pages, they’re awesome!

Look out for the new icons, I have yet to put them up, and a new tutorial!

Ohmygosh! The Beijing Olympics are soo exciting!! I tried watching the Opening Ceremony on Friday night, but it was simply too long. :sad: The performances were fine, but it’s not like “Boom! Kazam! Whee, *person pops up*” blah blah. It’s just slow and not interesting. I’m enthusiastic to grab the newspaper every morning to see the schedule for the day. Did I mention I’m completely obsessed with gymnastics? My favorite is Cheng Fei, she’s completely stunning when she does her competitions. And I’m also thrilled that GuoJingjing and her partner (what’s her name? It’s so hard to remember ) won a gold medal for China I’m not sure if you guys like watching the Olympics, but I know I sure do.
